We all know that mold is disgusting, but it is also a risk to your health and your family. Do you know if your house is infested with mold colonies? Do you know how to safely eliminate and prevent reinfestation? Should you hire a professional?

Mold is a living organism that releases spores into the environment. There are thousands of species of mold, all taste very different environments. These spores travel through the air and on surfaces until they encounter the right environment, which may be damp under the sink, inside a damp wall, crawl space, or even inside air ducts. Once they find a place, they grow and release more spores.

Molds grow in colonies, groups of tiny organisms that are visible as dots, raised bumps, fuzzy growths irregular or other shapes. Mold can be white, black, red, orange, yellow, green, almost all colors in the sky.

You can remove the mold, and you should do it quickly and safely. If mold in your home during a home inspection, you'll have trouble selling your home, and may be necessary to hire a moving service and pay for another inspection. Beware of sellers who want to wander to inspect your home for mold on a surprise. They will probably tell you that molds are dangerous in your home, and that only they can remove it. This is false. They are counting on your fear and your lack of knowledge on the subject to take your money. There is a huge industry in many reputable companies to remove the mold. This may be the way for you, but first you should know. Need to know how to identify mold in your house, if it exists, and not only speak of an independent expert appointed.
